Irish Window
I was lucky enough to find myself in a restored period cottage in Bunratty Ireland when I noticed everywhere I looked were these Staffordshire dog. They were on almost every windowsill. I came to find out that in the Victorian era women would place them on their windowsill back to back if their husband was home, and facing each other if their husbands were away in order to signal to their lover whether or not it was safe to visit.
