Methuselah
Methuselah is a great basin bristlecone pine tree growing in eastern California. At 4,852 years old it's one of the oldest non-clonal trees that we know of. The old pine tree is named after Methuselah the grandfather of Noah, known for his exceptionally long life of 969 years. I painted this portrait of the great bristlecone in 2020, using acrylic paint.
